Because some aircraft systems (i.e. GPS) use satellites for data, there is a need to get the antenna out from underneath the main rotor blades and into "clean air." The Vertical Fin Antenna Mount Kit provides a means of installing a satellite antenna on the vertical fin. It replaces the existing cap and provides mounting locations for the anticollision light and a variety of antennas. The kit uses the existing OEM LED anti-collision light for mounting on the Vertical Fin Cap and the LED Anti-Collision Belly Light Kit can be installed on the belly of the aircraft if required. LED Anti-Collision Belly Light Kit is required on 407GX (S/N 54300 - Sub) if size of antenna to be installed exceeds the envelope shown in figure 2 of installation report AA-06109.
