Aeronautical Accessories offers a branded STC Kit that allows for installation of the equipment under an FAA-approved STC for Bell 412, 412EP, 430 helicopters. The Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) Kit does not include the Honeywell equipment. Certain criteria must be met concerning aircraft systems interface per the STC instructions. The EGPWS is intended to help prevent accidents caused by Controlled Flight into Terrain (CFIT). The system enhances the flight crew's situation awareness by providing aural alerts, visual annunciations and display of the terrain in the vicinity of the helicopter.
