The Force Trim System for the Bell 407 is intended to aid the pilot by maintaining the cyclic in a selected position. While engaged, the system will provide artificial reaction control force as the cyclic is moved from its reference position. The cyclic may be repositioned, activated or deactivated manually using the cyclic grip mounted momentary release switch. The cyclic may be repositioned electrically using the cyclic grip mounted beep switch. Disabling the Force Trim System will remove all but a very small amount of the reaction control force.
