Because some aircraft systems (i.e. GPS) use satellites for data, there is a need to get the antenna out from underneath the main rotor blades and into "clean air." The Vertical Fin Antenna Mount Kit provides a means of installing a satellite antenna on the vertical fin. It replaces the existing cap and provides mounting locations for the anticollision light and a variety of antennas. The kit includes an LED anti-collision light for mounting on the vertical fin cap in place of the OEM anti-collision light. Provisions are provided to relocate the existing OEM anti-collision light to the belly if required.
