The QAR acquires ARINC 429 flight data and records it onto a Compact Flash memory card. The data may be downloaded while the QAR is installed in the aircraft using the built-in USB port or the memory card may be removed from the aircraft and taken to a ground station for data retrieval. The QAR is mounted on the mezzanine shelf in the nose of the aircraft.

Please note: 412EPI CV/FDR is not required for the installation of the QAR kit. QAR can be installed as a standalone unit.
